Paperwork
The application process begins in April. We must make an appointment at the Japanese Cultural Center in Mexico City to attend the talk which explains not only the process of apliaciones, but also what is the program and the lives of foreign students in Japan. You can not apply for the scholarship without regard to this discussion, so it is vital to make the appointment on time and not miss for any reason. In my case, attended the talk about 90 people. There were 3 or 4 talks this year on those dates, for a total of about 300 stakeholders.
NOTE: apparently from 2009, does not carry out the necessary information talks and is applied directly to the test.
After the talk there is a period to send the paperwork to apply. The complete list is given after the talk, but includes graducación school certificate or high school, the Cardex or transcript of grades, certificate of performance in English (TOEFL), a curriculum vitae and letter of reasons, birth certificate, CURP and other formalities. Of these, the most important roles are the Cardex (grades), the certificate of proficiency in English (TOEFL) and Letter of Interest (with CV). We must also fill out an application form must be typewritten or computer printed. Once
were sent to verify that all necessary papers granting the right to review.
Exam Examination takes place in July. Depending on where the subjects are:
For humanities: English, Mathematics I and Japanese.
For science, English, Mathematics II, Physics, Chemistry, Biology (2 of 3 depending on area of \u200b\u200bstudy) and Japanese.
A minimum of 220 points in total to pass the exam and be accepted as a candidate. Shortlisted candidates will have to make another series of papers to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Japanese Cultural Center. Interview
After the test, shortlisted candidates go to an interview where they were questioned about their motives, plans, goals, Japan's knowledge and skills to live in a different environment. According to the results of the interview, the interviewer sent the files of the candidates along with their comments. This part of the process is very important, and give a good impression here can make all the difference. Results
After passing the interview and give the rest of the paper, is a long waiting period while reviewing the record in Japan and give the final decision. If all goes well, by the end of December or even early February, the candidate will be informed of the results.
Journey For those fortunate who are selected for receive the scholarship, it will pass to travel to Japan in early April (a year after starting the process) with those selected to study a postgraduate course.
studying Japanese in Japan The first year is used to learn Japanese to a proper level to study a degree. There are two possible destinations, the Language of Osaka University and Tokyo University of Languages. You can not choose which to go, because that is decided from accepting the candidate to participate in the program. In that year also holds the college selection process, which will examine the degree. Selection of college
In the first year, after the summer break, you begin the college selection process, which ends in late December. The most important point to note is that scores of Japanese school play an important role in selecting the college and in some cases, poor grades can seriously limit the possibilities of choosing college or continue the program.
My recommendations to implement the program are:
* Spending a long time to produce the best letter possible reasons.
* study enough to pass the exam (no matter whether it goes through 1 or 20). * There is a considerable
possible differences between the Japanese considered high school level and what is taught in Mexico, so there are issues that may be unknown to the applicant. Be careful with it and study well.
* Prepare well for the interview, do not be too nervous and make a good impression in general. It much be clear goals and then follow the program.
